AFF's Founder + Artistic Director

The founder of AFF and has directed + acted in many plays at AFF. He co-wrote and directed the play The Song that killed the Snake, with a 16 piece chamber orchestra at the LA Philharmonic, directed the film Hitler Stalin & Walter O’Malley and has directed theatre nationally including Art, The Last 5 Years, and 13 for Theatre Aspen. Acting credits include starring in the Broadway National Tour of Lincoln Center’s Tony-winning The Light in the Piazza + in Steppenwolf Theatre Company’s Tony-winning production of The Grapes of Wrath at the National Theatre, London + the La Jolla Playhouse, Off-Broadway in The Comedy of Errors, The Trojan Women + Quartet (Brooklyn Academy of Music). He has performed at The Kennedy Center, Ahmanson Theatre, Mark Taper Forum, La Jolla Playhouse, Old Globe Theatre, Paper Mill Playhouse, Asolo Theatre, Merrimack Repertory Theatre +  in 7 productions at Theatre Aspen. In 2022 he played Jack in The Weir, by Conor McPherson in Santa Cruz + starred in the musical 1776 at ACT, directed by Tony Award Winner Frank Galati + in Chinglish at Berkeley Repertory Theatre. He played Oscar in The Odd Couple, Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls, the Guardsman in Enter the Guardsman at the Jewel Theatre in Santa Cruz. Film + TV credits include Starring in the film Final Judgement, in Law & Order +as a series regular on ABC’s One Life to Live.
