Donald Sage Mackay (AFF co-Artistic Director) is an American actor now living in London, having spent his entire career working in Theatre, TV and Film in the United States. London’s West End: Gielgud Theatre, lead role of “Nick Laine” in Girl From The North Country; Vaudeville Theatre, True West, opposite Kit Harington; Soho Theatre, Edinburgh Fringe, India & Aspen Fringe: Angry Alan by Penelope Skinner (Edinburgh Fringe First Award); Ireland: Lyric Theatre in Belfast, “James Tyrone, Jr.” in A Moon for the Misbegotten. Off- Broadway: Manhattan Theatre Club, Signature Theatre. Don has most recently been busy with various television projects including a series lead on a new BBC thriller, Wreck (airing October 2022); recurring roles include BBC’s Pack of Lies (airing 2023), Mike Myers Netflix comedy series, The Pentaverate, Season 3 of Amazon’s Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan (airing October 2022), The Fear Index for Sky and Alex Rider for Amazon/Sony, two seasons in Deep State on Disney+ opposite MarkStrong. Guest Star roles include The Looming Tower, Modern Family, Masters of Sex, Elementary and Blue Bloods, Mad Men, The Good Wife, House, The West Wing, Frasier, ER, Scrubs and The Practice. MFA in Acting from UC San Diego/La Jolla (same class with best friend and co-Artistic Director, David Ledingham), Moscow Art Theatre.
