LINCOLN GOES TO HOLLYWOOD

An Hysterical Historical Comedy by David LedinghamJanuary 7 & 9, 2027 • 8:00 PM • TACAW

Abraham Lincoln is back. And he has a few things to say...

After two years of development on stages at Aspen’s Wheeler Opera House and Thunder River Theatre Company, Lincoln Goes to Hollywood arrives at TACAW in its fully realized form—sharper, funnier and more timely than ever.

Starring David Ledingham and Lyon Hamill, this “fierce, funny and inventive” two-man comedy throws Lincoln, the Booth brothers and Shakespeare together for a wildly funny journey from the Roman Republic to Hollywood.

History, politics, show business and the American experiment collide in a play that asks some surprisingly big questions—while never forgetting that first and foremost, we came to the theatre to have a good time.

Commissioned by Aspen Fringe Festival for JuneFest 2025, Lincoln Goes to Hollywood went on to an acclaimed encore run at Thunder River Theatre Company that summer. Now, after two years of writing, rewriting and developing the play in front of audiences, TACAW marks its fully realized full-length production. Called “funny and inventive” and “…refreshing genius,” it’s a chance to discover the play for the first time—or see just how far it has come.

Whether you saw an earlier incarnation or are meeting Lincoln for the first time—

after 160 years...Mr. Lincoln is ready for his curtain call.
